Explosion, Spark and Flame Isolation
The EXKOP® system provides a safe, economic and easy way to isolate and protect production equipment in case of an explosion, spark and/or flame front up or down stream. The system is made up of two REMBE products, the EXKOP® Quench Valve and EXKOP® Mini controller.
The EXKOP® quench valve protects interconnected equipment by high speed closure of a fast acting pinch valve.
The quench valve is triggered by a signal from any combination of rupture discs or panels, Q-Rohr®-3, Q Box®, or from pressure/temperature sensors or spark detectors.
The complete explosion protection system is fail-safe due to an integrated pressure storage tank and self-monitoring controller. In case of an explosion, plant personnel can reset the EXKOP® Quench Valve system quickly and easily after inspection, so plant downtime is minimized.
EXKOP® Mini Controller
Q-Flap® Compact and Q-Flap® Compact Plus Non-Return Explosion Valve
Many industrial processing and filtration systems require an easy isolation system to prevent propagation of combustible dust explosions. The REMBE® Q-Flap® Compact and Q-Flap® Compact Plus use the concept of a non-return valve with upgraded technology specifically for combustible dust explosion applications.
The Q-Flap® Compact products protect horizontal aspiration lines with a flow velocity between 15-30 m/s.
The Q-Flap® Compact Plus version is equipped with an integrated clogging sensor that signals if product accumulates and interferes with flap closing. This sensor ensures the flap will close in the event of an explosion.
The Q-Flap® Compact Plus version offers an additional wear-and-tear sensor that monitors the abrasion that could possibly occur on the stainless steel flap.
